Establishment of the building site, asbestos disposal

With the validation of the demolition authorization, the Caisse de prévoyance de l’Etat de Genève (CPEG), the owner of the building, started the deconstruction work of the current building. This work consists of several stages: firstly disposing of asbestos from the walls concerned, then the dismantling of the partitions and windows and finally the demolition of the façade using a “cruncher”, a machine which can cut directly through reinforced concrete. The ground will then be prepared for the foundations of the new building.
